Our Vision

We are a church with people from all walks of life, at different stages of their faith journey; who come together in love and faith to worship Christ and try to help our community.
Our Vision is rooted in Mission and Ministry.

We are guided through our mission with help of the agreed Mission Action Plan (MAP)

The four areas of focus are Caring For Creation, Children, Inclusion and Social Action

They all weave like a fine thread through so much of what we do at St Peter's and help steer our direction for the near future.

Encompassing our services and ministry, the MAP continues to bring fresh ideas, creative initiatives and also inspires many of the special events and activities that we participate in, for the community of Burnham parish.

Our Ministry

St Peter's ministry offers a variety of different services; with something for everyone, to come and praise Christ in welcoming, loving truth.

For children, older people, young adults and more - we are here to worship in our diverse ways, yet always united in our love of God.

People are encouraged to develop their personal ministry, sharing their time and talents to support the community of St Peter's, and strengthen their faithful relationship with the Lord in gentle service to others.
Sunday Services are held at 8am (Book of Common Prayer) and the 10am Service including Eucharist

Wednesday Eucharist - Join us at 9:30am each week in the church, followed by fellowship with refreshments in Cornerstone

Varied Ministry at St Peter's

WoW Children's Services held each month, aim to inspire the next generation by offering engaging services for young individuals to explore their faith and build new friendships with each other.

Communion Café is the Cornerstone based monthly service for the older members of the community to come together, share ongoing fellowship of many years and make new connections; to enjoy worship and other social events tailored to them.

Puppets 4 All is our much loved ministry which uses puppets, songs and sketches to share the message of Jesus's love with everyone; specialising in community visits to local nursing and care homes, children's groups etc. and occasionally hosting the WoW Services.

The annual Christingle services are a very popular event, attended by hundreds of adults and children alike.

Home Communion is available to people of the parish who are unable to attend any of the services in person.

This is managed by the ministry team and the visits are arranged in advance upon application.
