Our long running and popular playgroup is open each Thursday during term-time for children and their parents/carers/childminders to come along and enjoy a space for play, art, craft, songs, rhymes and plenty of fun for everyone!

WHAT WE DO
We see children returning week after week, and that's so rewarding for them - and for us!

Our Little Angels are getting to know each other, developing social skills, joining in the songs and playing together. They are growing in confidence and learning to share, play, listen, and express themselves through play and song. We offer a huge selection of toys to play with; ride/sit on, technical, expressive, inventive, solo play and even cuddly!

Arts and Crafts - There is a variety of colouring in each week for the younger children and different themed crafts on a regular basis (such as play-doh, air clay modelling, cake decorating, themed creative and much more) Much of this is tailored to the older children but safe enough that younger Angels can enjoy the same or a variation of it.

Then, it's tidy up time!
Everyone helps the team and one another to put away
the toys, chairs and art/crafts.

Then it's Refreshments - we sit down and relax; the children sit on carpets and mats together and enjoy their refreshments as the team update everyone with any notices, birthdays of the week etc. then
we are ready for a story or two.

Usually one contemporary story and one based on a story from the Bible.

When refreshments have finished, so we minimise the risk of flying biscuits (!)
it's time for the much loved songs and rhymes which everyone (grown ups included!) joins in with.

Everyone is then invited to dance the Hokey Cokey, Mulberry Bush and participate in Sleeping Bunnies
Finally, it's time to say thank you for coming along and goodbye until next tim

You are very welcome to visit and see if our group can become part of your weekly routine; there is no need to pre-register, you can come along we'd be delighted to see you and welcome you.

Our volunteer team (some of whom have been with us for over a decade) are all enhanced DBS certified, with safeguarding awareness and plenty of other recognised training/life skills to ensure a safe and caring environment for everyone.
However, please remember we are a toddler group -  not a crèche;
The children you bring along to have fun and make friends, remain under your guided supervision and care at all times, for the entire duration of Little Angels.

WHERE ARE WE?

Walking: Located inside Cornerstone in St Peter's Church, Church Street, Burnham - it is a convenient and accessible walk if you live nearby.

Driving: There is no parking outside available outside Cornerstone (Residents parking only)
But, if you do need to drive to reach us by vehicle, there are two car parks within a 5 minute walk -
Jennery Lane and Summers Road.

Public Transport: There is a good bus route that stops at the bottom and top of the nearby High Street, depending on what bus you catch.

Facilities: A baby changing station is available in one of our large accessible toilets and you can park your buggies inside the church for safe keeping.

Story Time with Ian

A popular part of the morning, as the children sit to enjoy refreshments, Ian reads stories followed by nursery rhymes and songs.  Occasionally assisted by Vickie, Ian continues to delight generations of Little Angels.

Thank you to Alan R for the pic!
