Brigade
1st Burnham Girls’ Brigade is part of an international worldwide Christian uniformed organisation. We meet in St Peter’s Church every Monday evening in term time, welcoming girls and young women and providing opportunities for personal development and spiritual growth
We welcome girls aged 5 to 18 who meet in four different groups:

Explorers (n’vestigate) are school starters up to year 3

Juniors (n’gage) year 4 to year 6

Seniors (n’counta) year 7 to year 9
-
Brigaders (n’spire) are year 10 and above.
More about the Company
Each group works for badges according to their age group and our aim is to help girls and young women to explore and engage with real life and Christian faith in fun, informative and hopeful ways.
In short, we want to help girls to live life to the full!
We play games, we make things, we learn life skills and enjoy spending time with friends, talking about some of life’s big questions.
Most of all we have fun.
We have an annual residential week away for girls in year 3 and above
and enjoy lots of other activities over the year.
Our leaders are all Girls’ Brigade trained, have up to date safeguarding qualifications, and are all DBS checked. Please email the leader, Jenny Dobson, if you have any questions or know anyone who might like to join us.
