Swinging bell

Some of the bell ringersSince they were recast in 1949 the bells in the tower at St Peter's are, arguably, the best ring of eight in this part of the country. They are rung to announce that church services are about to start, and also to commemorate national and local events, to celebrate weddings and to mark funerals.

We have a keen band of ringers and are always pleased to welcome new people to join us in the tower. New ringers are always welcome.
