Sundays
St Peter's has very active youth and children's groups on Sunday mornings
and during the week. There's something for young people from birth to young
adults, as you'll see below. All children and young people are welcome at
our groups.
If you wish to keep your children with you during the service, we have
a children's area with resources for children's worship, plus other activities.
If babies or younger children become restless, please feel free to walk
around with them or take them out for a short time. The church has plenty
of room for pushchairs.
Young Church - children in school years Reception - Year 7, plus
a crèche for 0 - 3 year olds
Young Church meets in church at the beginning of the service (10am),
then (after the first hymn and a prayer) moves into Cornerstone for Bible
stories, teaching and activities. Young Church ends with prayers and we
rejoin the main service in time for communion.
Please contact Gill Knight or Pam Rogers via the Cornerstone Office for
more details.
Tower Teens - school year 8+
Tower Teens is our Sunday morning youth group. They meet at 10:00 am
in the Bell Tower - hence the name - and join the rest of the congregation
in time for communion. Please contact Kevin Lovell or Jenny Dobson via the
Cornerstone Office for more details.
NOTE: Young Church and Tower Teens do not meet on the second Sunday
of every month when there is an All-age Service.
St Peter’s Young Church Prayer
Dear God, Thank you for all the love in my life: family,
friends, pets, church and me! Look after then always. Teach me
ways to show all the love I have with those less fortunate than me.
Help me to know and understand you better, especially in young church -
to learn about the things you’ve done and what they mean. Give me
confidence to take you with me everywhere I go, and to call you
whenever I need you.
Amen
Toddler Group - birth to school age
Wednesday
9.30-11.00am in Cornerstone
This is a very informal group where parents/carers with young children
can get together to meet new friends. It's a great place to chat, and maybe
to share ideas on bringing up children.
The very young ones enjoy learning to play with others before starting
nursery or play group. There is a craft activity each week and a story and
singing to end the time together.
You are welcome to join us.

Burnham Girls' Brigade
The Girls' Brigade is an international and interdenominational,
uniformed organisation for girls. Its activities are too numerous
to mention here but can be grouped under the four headings of Spiritual,
Physical, Educational and Service.
Week night activities include handicraft, games, music, service
at home and in the community. Girls earn badges for attendance and
for activities.
Our
motto is "Seek, Serve and Follow Christ". Our aim is "To help girls
to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through self-control,
reverence and a sense of responsibility to find true enrichment
